WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR TRIAL
Congratulations on taking the first step of your Muay Thai journey!
You are now registered for your trial class. If you have not done so already, please head back to the mobile app or click button below to book your first class.
PS – you might be asked to log in to the account you just created.
Below is a list of few things to expect on day one.
Arrive with intention
Why do you want to start learning Muay Thai? Fitness? Health? Self Defense? Competition? What are your concerns? We will ask these questions because we want to help you achieve your goals.
Arrive early & be comfortable
Wear a t-shirt and shorts, or bring them with you. Come 10 minutes early to avoid rushing and stay for the entire session. Invest your time early on and people will invest in you!
Expect to learn foundations
You will learn hour to stand, how to breathe, what rhythm looks like, and the fundamentals to become a badass! Be prepared to be pushed, to be uncomfortable, to be wrong, and to be questioned.
Expect to be sore
Your body and muscles will be worked in ways that they have never been before. Your muscles will be sore and you will probably run out of breath. This is normal, feel free to ask a coach for recovery methods.
Prepare to be confused
Be prepared to not know your left from your right. Speak up if you have a question, but at the same time don’t interrogate every move. Muay Thai is extremely technical and basically like learning a whole new language.
Keep an open mind to listen, observe, and try first before you analyze.
Muay Thai will give you weapons, but it will take time
Try it again. Keep at it. Maybe the coach you trained with is not your vibe. Try another coach’s class. Try another gym. Try another Martial Art. Communication styles are different and you should be comfortable when learning.
It will cost money and it will cost time if you want to be successful, but it is VERY worth it!
If you have any questions or concerns at all please do not hesitate to contact us. We really hope this is the start of something special and look forward to seeing you on the mats.
